Tired of wasting money on food, just to see it get recalled? Well let me tell you a secret! Making your own baby food is not only easy, it’s affordable, and it’s so nutritious! We have always made our own baby food for our boys! And I simply couldn’t resist when I was whipping up a batch of applesauce and sweet potatoes today, to try my hand at vlogging.

I’m still not sure if that’s really a word?! Bare with me. It’s a no makeup, messy kitchen kinda day.

Watch our video below!

With our 6 year old, I baked the fruit and veggies. With our 3 year old, I did a mix of crockpot and oven. With our 5 month old, the pressure cooker has been a game changer! I literally spent about 30 minutes making enough food for 2 weeks. That included washing up the dishes twice! And guess what it cost me to make 38 jars of food!!!!

That’s .25 cents per “jar” of non processed, homemade, easy to freeze baby food.

Applesauce:

5lbs of sweet apples (peeled and cored)

1/2 cup water

Pressure cooker for 5 minutes

Blend until smooth.

Sweet potatoes

5 sweet potatoes

1 cup water

Pressure cooker for 10 minutes

Blend until smooth (add a small amount of water or baby’s milk as needed until smooth).

Let me know what you think! And if you would like to know any recipes, I’m happy to share our favorites! Comment below!

Life is good today!
